Born out of informal cooperation with members of UNCTED, this project looks at the protection of cultural heritage vis-Ã -vis acts of terrorism. In a keen attempt to stir debate, our report is based on 21 expert interviews that reflect upon causes, dynamics of the targeting of tangible and intangible cultural heritage by the terrorists, proposing concrete policy recommendations to safeguard invaluable cultural treasures.
Born out of informal talks with members of the US Department of States in Washington DC and Honolulu, this project offers an overview of far-right movements in six European countries and Russia. While it refrains from criminalising legitimate political dissent, this report wishes to shed light upon those dynamics illustrating the rise of fairly anti-democratic narratives, which, ultimately, may hamper US interests in Europe.
